At Distriphil, The health and safety of our employees is our utmost priority. This is why, We take time and effort to organize the training on first aid and safety every 2 years in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Paranaque Branch. This was conducted last February 17 and 18, 2024 at Distriphil’s Multipurpose Hall.

We understand that many people struggle to maintain good health and this can put them at risk for sudden health incidents. This program aims to equip our employees with relevant first aid and safety know-how to enable them to provide the necessary assistance during unforeseen medical emergencies.

During the two-day workshop,  Selected employees from various business units were invited to participate.

Some of the topics covered in the training were the following:

  1. Basic Life Support and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  2. Choking and Airway Obstruction
  3. Dressing and Bandaging
  4. Patient Transportation

One of the main highlights of the workshop was the return demonstration of CPR as well as bandaging and victim transportation. Participants had the opportunity to apply their learning through a medical emergency simulation exercise where they had to do CPR.

According to one of the participants of the workshop, “It was indeed a great opportunity for us Distriphil Employees to have this kind of opportunity to enhance our knowledge and skills in first aid and safety.” – Donna Mae Quinto

This appreciation was shared by most if not all of the participants and they are looking forward to similar training in the future.
